Never been a big cat fan but have had a couple that were really big toms that were as yard protective as my shepherd was.
On the botany side, I had a plant that smelled like male cat once. and we had none at the time. The plant finished sweeter than it grew but always gave us a chuckle when we smoked it.

P.S. Never name a dog with the word no in its name. lol.
My current husky ended up with the name Nova. and can be a tad confusing in mixed brawl. Our three are all females - Huskey 13, Aussie 4, and pit shepherd mix 1.25..... sometimes they get the alpha B syndrome all at the same time. and No seems to .... liven the party.

Thats funny about the dogs... Buddha is a Shar pei/shepherd/probably pit mix... he has a sister that looks like your dog.. she had slightly longer hair and the lighter shepherd color... he got the shar-pei dominant gene but his brindle is where a shepherd's lighter markings would be. Mutts rule... same way hybrids make growers happier than pure sativa/indica.

Yep Mutts are where its at. ZZealeys mom is pure bred American Stafford shire, pure white, and has the biggest block head I've ever seen. I'm talking basket ball here. and once they started growing the owner changed their minds about the father. Our gain, she is very smart, affectionate, and loves the kids. (2 and 4 year old great nephews ). And she's got a big head to match her big male dog growl/bark that will curl your shorts in the dark. Weighs in at 50 lbs and as you see she's not fat, and has some filling to do.

I just had a very involved and very high discussion about naming plants... regarding the two we just put outdoor, gorilla grow style, i said "we should give them names"... he said...just.. "no." after the 30 minutes of discussion we decided that naming a plant is a death sentence.

Well it seems that in a state of enlightened awareness I miss noted on the sour diesel being male so my beeding plans have taken their first detour. Two males went off sight and one was in my wifes bedroom window along with a Lemon Ice female(moved to my window and not in flower). I collected pollen today and killed the males. Looks like two White Deisel (White Widow - Sour Diesel) and one Lemon Ice.
The White Diesels have all struck me as odd since about three weeks after germ, you know, when they start getting a personality. haha Gut feeling is the genetics aren't quite stable. Mixed leaf size between the three plants and the female will just suddenly decide to yellow and drop a leaf or two every couple of days.

I am thinking to pollenate one PK and one AK bud with each. That's four possible strains for next summers trials.

Lemon Ice description
Lemon Ice is another one of our Sativa hybrids. This tasty strain has some Indica in it for a nice body buzz but the Sativa will lift you up high.
Smoking Lemon Ice gives a very refreshing and anxiety blocking high making it a good choice for medical users that want to have a stress-free day.
Lemon Ice obviously gets it's name from it's refreshing, citrus taste and connoisseurs love it for it's unique qualities. If you want a special experience, we highly recommend growing growing Lemon Ice seeds.
Growers info:
Lemon Ice is a hardy plant, has good resistance to all manner of diseases and molds.
Good outdoor plant for hot climates. Also grows indoors but make sure you have enough light.
It is a high yielder with very compact buds loaded with resin.

My partner is like her dad, a little high strung , and the anti anxiety while keeping the uplifting high. sounded up her ally so to speak.
LOL and .....Lemon Ice .... sounds smooth and tasty. I could see an Iced Lemon Apple Kush happening.

What are your thoughts on Leaf thinning? My AK doesn't need it lol. everything is curled out of the way. But the PK is like a rain forest canopy. absolutely gorgeous!
I was looking for leaves I could tuck...only found about four that would help any at all. I'm actually a little proud of my scrogging . I just cant get myself to cut the leaves off. I am pulling on average one and a half bottom leaves a day from the PK that looks to be used up.(not deficient or buggy) so I believe she is using every one.
Full nutes plus molasses in oxygenated rainwater this morning. They look like they loved it. The AK doubled its frost and is finally getting some healthy green back in the buds. Its been raining for three days and the outdoor girls are going wild.

I am against cutting leaves.. pretty much period. You can see yellow leaves hanging in there on mine making the pics ugly but I figure if they weren't necessary they wouldn't be there. I wait till they are pretty much dead before I pull them off.

Is that the plant with the pollination? Maybe its changed its nutrition requirements?
nope... that one is fine actually.

I suspect something happened when i flushed and showered them.... maybe i didn't have the pH right.... the spots and lighter areas are pretty much everywhere the light touches.

I gave them some more nutes with epsom salts and turned off the HPS ... going to let them have a cloudy day with just he T5s

That sounds like a plan. I don't worry overly much about PH and that may have been my original problem with the AK and it just took it a little too hard because of the HPS. All the others bounced right back with some Molasses and Epsom even the PK in the cabinet. I don't have a good PH meter and don't trust the cheap one I have. Litmus paper and me never did get along so I don't have those either. I intend on a little different soil composition in the future and will try to build in a little more buffer. I have close to 150 gallons of rain water collection and another 50gal. going in soon. Even considered a 400Gallon tank we have around for various things. but I'm afraid it will go stale before I use it. Some more studying is in order before that. I have been happy with the results of it even with nutes my meter says 7.0 ( but it basically says real close to that about everything.)

I'm sure you will figure it out with little deficit to show. Good job on catching it early.

lol thanks. I think I used too much perlite in my mix. I did that to combat my over-watering habits but I dont think the soil is able to hold much of anything with all that perlite... and like you mentioned... not much of a buffer at all. I just repotted my vegging clones into their permanent pots with a really nice organic 'garden soil' mix ... its got kelp meal and a few other fancy sounding things... there's a little bit of micro nutes in it but none of that time release crap. This time I only went with about 20% perlite. I think these will do much better. Clones are so awesome.... already showing pistils and ready to go when I say so.

Regarding flushing..... the last time I used plain water w a few drops of vinegar to lower the pH to 6.2-6.5 (stupid paper strips). Whenever I use plain water I have problems so I'm not doing that anymore... going to go with feeding weak nutes every watering. This time... since i have obvious deficiencies... I flushed with about three gallons of the recommended dose of my new fertilizer. when i was done.. the pH from the runoff was almost the same as what i poured in. Then i foliar feed some Superthrive and a dash of fert.... now i just have to leave them alone and see what they look like in a day or two.
