Closet Grow Help!

That should do just fine for a couple plants. A lot of people knock the 150 watt hps for creating too much heat for the intensity of light you're getting out of it so you may want to look into like a 250 watt, I'm sure someone that actually uses them will help you out here. A fan and filter will definitely be necessary, you might even want a small fan inside of the tent for even more air circulation. Then you just need to find out what medium to grow in and what to grow in it or vice versa. Good luck!

That will work but watch your temps..those Sun System 150's have a built in ballast so you will get extra heat in the tent from it...check out "kinfokejr" he's using one of those systems .

Ok great! Glad I'm on the right track.

What specific fan and carbon filter would you recommend?

Also i just saw this video on youtube of an LED light inside a GL40. I think they are really expensive but much cheaper to run and may not require a fan due to low heat?

Thoughts? or cheaper alternatives?

A Lighthouse Hydro Blackstar 135w UFO LED would work perfectly in that space. I bought one for $180.

If so I might wanna do this myself been plotting for years lmao and this tent plus ur led and fans seems to be a cheap perfect way to do this and still be cautious of space and being stealthy due to I live in a one bedroom moveable trailer not one on wheels btw to make that more easy to picture

Hey this looks cool! have u done a grow with it? what were the results? I see that there are other Wattages too. Would it be worth going for a 240W?

Also, what other hardware would i need besides the tent and LED?

Ps. i will be using smart pots probably using coco. I have the following strains to chose from (only can do 1)

- Killa Watt - Seedism Seeds
- Jack Flash #5 - Sensi seeds
- Holy Grail Kush - DNA
- Sour Die

this is great help thanks guys!

I haven't done a full grow with my LED. I used it for a veg run which it worked very well for, and now it's a backup in case my HPS goes haywire. I do plan on using it in a new mother tent I'm setting up today.

You'll need a fan to exhaust air, possibly a carbon filter if you're worried about scent. Then basics; hygrometer/thermometer, pH/PPM (EC) meter etc. After that, just add stuff as you go and while you learn.

I can't help with a strain as I haven't grown any of those, however, I've always been itching to get a good run of Sour Diesel though.

I thought somone said the 135w one would be perfect so why jump to 600w?? I'm confused that's a big jump lol
lol ok maybe you are right but i also heard the more wattage u have the better and i also hear that an LED's actual wattage is a lot lower then it says on the box. been trying to find out more about LEDs but it seams that there is a lot of differing opinions out there. Just wanted to know if this was a good brand?

There is also this one:

Oh I'm new to the whole thing as well I've always been interested in leds over everything.. And true that it does have higher watts and also I heard leds, have low heat so high watt might be a choice..
