Close to finishing?

The hairs are all but gone. Or at least very, very, very small compared to the exact same strain next to it. A few went orange last week. But unless I don't understand what I'm looking at, the attached pics don't look like it's ready. These are off a small flower from the bottom, if that make a difference.

my friend id say you are 5-7 days out !! as soon as you see a few amber trichoms CHOP THE BITCH DOWN !!! lol looks great good luck
Crap. I wonder if the other is close too? Would checking the top flowers be better than the bottom ones? Or are they all the same? I just snipped off a tiny one off the bottom to check.

its all about what the plant is telling you my friend. typically you want 70/80% of your trychomes to be milky white and 20/30% amber in color .. the more amber the less potent and the less milky the less potent. the only real thing you can do is get out your micro and have a look and see what she is telling you.

Thanks, I'll resnap both and see what they look like up top in a couple days.

It's better to examine the top of the plant where the majority of ripe bud will be. I'd wait until you start seeing some amber, THEN wait a couple days then chop. Just to be sure. Good lookin' smoke btw :)

Thanks for all the help. I'm going to check the tops later today. Although just by looking at it, I can see the yield will be low.

Here are closeups but not scoped. I'm worried that I am not getting accurate scope shots. Should the orange going away concern me?6F8B5061.jpg6F8B5062.jpg 6F8B5067.jpg

got some time left bud. nice frosty plant. mb another week. the pistils need to turn first. the bud will fatten up n put on some weight. the 20-30% amber thing is bs. don't let it go past 5% max. amber =degradation. so harvest when milky and just a tiny bit amber. okee dokee?

Here is the other one. Same strain, age, everything to a T. Except watering.View attachment 3129517
That one clearly needs some more time.

As for the others, yes it's normal for the buds at the top to be finished further. No shame in harvesting what's ready and letting the rest develop a little further. Not yet though, Chris's estimate of 5-7 days seems realistic.

Here is what the trich look like today. I gotta be honest, I struggle between the clear and cloudy part. They look cloudy, but is that just the lighting?

id say you are 2 days out ... but im sure some one will say other wise
Well that will still fit within your first estimate of 5-7 days. So it makes sense. Question, should I move it to total darkness at this point? Or at any point? Water, don't water (it's almost due for some)?

well if you are going to cut that bitch down in the next couple days... some people and I do it myself don't water for the last 2-4 days. this can speed up the drying time as there is not as much water in the girl. as for moving her to dark... I never do or have so cant say if that really does much or not.
