Cloning tops

Is it ok to clone from the tops. My gorilla glue doesn’t have any clones on the bottom. I want to clone all the tops then switch to flower. I don’t want to stress the plants because they are super healthy.

What do you mean the tops? Like the main colas? It'll work, but you gotta be aware that you're topping your plants when you do it.

You really don't have any nodes down lower? I recently cloned my plants for the first time and I had a ton of choices on where to clip growth from. I with I'd taken longer ones in most cases, the shorter ones seem to be slower to show roots.

Yes the very top colas because I don’t have much of a choice. They’re about 50 days old and look really good so I want to make clones before flowering. I was going to cut the tops and then veg another week before flowering. Yes I’d def rather have 2 tops instead of one.

Ok thanks I guess I’ll find out soon

I was think top them then veg 10-14 days before flipping. I don’t have a mom so I’m just gonna clip these to keep the strain. Thanks
You would want to wait until the tops have all split off before you flip so they join in on the stretch. Wind movement will be important if you want those branches to hold weight. You can always make 1 of the clones a mother for future cloning.

I'm surprised a 50 day old plant really only has one growth tip you can take clones from. Do you have pictures of the plants? You must have been very judicious in removing growth shoots if this is really the case.

But yeah topping it is fine and not going to hurt anything, I expect even this close to flower not a big deal though I personally don't top that close to the flip.

i suck at cloning but have more luck with tops so far. look at uncle ben's method. he grows to 8 nodes and tops just above node 2.

i then make a clone out of nodes 3 to 8. but i found out only clone at node 2 if nodes 1 and 2 have healthy side shoots starting. if not, I move up until at least 2 nodes have healthy side shoots. what works for me.

I've been told cutting from the top has the least amount of hormones compared to cutting from the bottom to 3/4 of the way up?

I’d like to see what your looking at. I take clones from anywhere down low. You’d be surprised what will actually take ahold.

I’ve also heard it’s best to clone bottom branches but at the time these were one stalk plants. I did clone them and now they’re doing better under a stronger light.

I have a question about beastie bloomz. Can I use it along with other nutrients during week 5-6 of flowering or shouldnit be used alone? It’s a hydro system so I’ll be adding to my res
