When taking cuttings and running indoors until roots what is best light cycle to ensure clones maintain vegetation cycle and not transition into flower when planting outdoors? Thanks in advance!

If you do veg for longer hours, cut back an hour a week until you match the natural light hours of your planned transplant date.

Yep! What ^^ said! You don’t have a whole lot of time if you’re taking cuttings now. It’ll take 10-14 days to root well, transfer to 4” pot or Dixie cup go 24/0 for 2 weeks at least, transplant to 1 gallon container and start cutting time by an hour a week from here. I’m 45 N (Northern Oregon) and I usually plant outdoors after May 15th.
I’ve put 4” clones right outside before and they did fine, but I generally like them to be 18” + when they go outdoors!
Remember to use a good root enhancer at each transplanting!

You might also want to research light spectrums to use for vegging. Good luck.

There are tons!! You can over pay at a grow shop and get great result or use a regular natural garden shop product and get great results for about half the price!

I use Down to Earth: Root Growth Enhancer

You can get it at an organic garden shop or on Amazon.

Some strains take longer. I’ve had them root in 7 days and others 14+ days. Key is to keep them under lights, give them a very light nutrient bath every other day (I use clonex clone solution) keeping your rock wool moist and not sitting in water.
At this point if you’re using a dome, make sure the air tabs are open.
I used to use a nursery tray with a dome, but I’ve switched to using a plastic storage bin with about 12” sides and I put a piece of clear plastic on top and add about 1 1/2” of wetted perlite to the bottom and sit me cubes on them for the roots to grow out in.
Works well for me.
