the thing is if you cloned your auto say at day 17 its already started to flower as others have said vegetive is pretty non existant as auto flower by age not by light cycle as auto's are not photoperiod so you cannot put it into a vegetive state also the root system would probably tiny giving a small plant that may yield 5 grams, which if you offset cost of nutes lights etc to what you gain its nothing your at a loss for your gain,if you were going to clone auto's i would do the new super auto's that have longer shelf life auto blueberry hindu kush lowryder etc have a life span of about 60 days where as flash seeds super auto's have a 110 day life cycle giving it a longer vegitive cycle around 6weeks, an 8 week flower if you could clone at 3weeks an rooted at 3 weeks you should in theory get 3 weeks veg alltough the clone would be the same age as the plant you just cloned it from, but my suggestion to you would to be if you wanted fast flowering time i would get something like topp44 which in ideal conditions can be ready in 6 weeks quicker than auto, but you could have a 2 week seedling stage then flower it or do a striaght 12/12 from seed with a haze they seem to repond well to straight 12/12 it would give you a greater yield then trying to clone auto's in reality cloning auto's i do not thing it is worth the cost for what you gain other than that if you want lots of auto's my other advice would be to get regulars hopefully 1 a male an 1 is female mate them presto a whole bunch of seeds plus it you give you more than cloninig,an you could keep mating pairs so that you have an abundance of seeds an never have to buy that variety again
