cloning setup air stone pump and rooting hormone

you can see my setup in the picture. the plan is to put the clones in plugs and just have them float on top of the water. the air stone obviously in the water. my quetion is... i got some rooting hormone today. its a powder. should i just dump some powder in the water and stir it or should i still dip the clones in the hormone and than put them in the water??? second is will this setup work?? thanks guys

I think you should soak the clippings in a cup of water and then dip them into your clone powder then put them in to your neoprene collars thats on yout lid

you dont want to use a powder,but a gel or solution you can add to the water.
