cloning question/idea please read + comment

Are there hormomnes in root's of another rooted plant that would be benificial for new root grow in clones. My idea would be to soak a chunk of roots in ph water or just let it soak in clone res. Areo cloner

To be honest this is the first i've heard about it from a fair bit of random reading around, so i'd be inclined to say no.

Furthermore i'd have thought that the dead roots in the res would simply rot after a while and cause bad weegies in the water.

I remember reading a thread about an experiment into cloning cannabis simply from roots alone, but i don't think it came out with any positive results that i remember.

This sounds like a Dr. Bronner or Toms of Maine product.. All in one headache tincture, pain relieving massage rub, rooting compound, and plant food.

I dunno the full product line of Advanced Nutes, Fox Farms, Gen hydro, Dutch Masters or Humboldt Nutes ... but it seems that if this worked very well... one [and soon all of them] would have a root booster additive derived from plant roots.

Now for growing willow in the aerogarden as some kind of companion plant.... I wish you luck O' the Prize with that one! Maybe there's a more realistic companion plant out there...

yea it's a pain n the ass but if u soak roots in ro water ,strain ,squizee, and add to th eres there must be root hormone in the root being fertilized. Wil l experimint, and post what I seeee. any input would be apppted.

I suppose you can do a lot of things in the reservoir but until they root that's the last thing to receive your nutes. I use Technaflora's rooting/ seedling/cutting formula plus a cap full of hydrogen peroxide and a dose of Hygrozyme. Don't forget the foliar feeding through a spray bottle on top, because most people do. My friends who have had trouble cloning did. When I clone I remove the humidity dome just long enough to feed them three times a day before I sit down to stuff my face and I've had very few problems cloning. It's an easy way to remember.
