cloning/pruning help!

just took my first batch of clones about four days ago. they look amazing (all 12!), so proud of myself! my question is, what do you do to the mother plant? the place where i took the clone, should i leave that stem sticking out or cut it back to the next node?

you could do either, just make sure no moisture is sitting around the cut and it will dry up and stop growing.
