Cloning Help

I take mine off for a few hours every day, it helps identify the ones that are not rooting well...

I recommend trimming your fan leaves up a bit, as I have read that it promotes root growth, however it should help em stand up straighter too.
Correct ^. Cut the leaves in half not length but width wise they’ll transpire less that way helping with the wilting until they grow roots and can function normally

I am attempting clones for my first time. I just made the old foldgers can bubble cloner that I found in the DIY section on here. As far as I can tell it works great, plenty of bubbles.

The problem is it's been a week and my clones are growing new leaves and not roots. I didn't put anything in the water, just ph'd tap.
Can you direct me to the diy section that you mentioned? Thanks

Cloning can be very simple, I recently took 10 clones. All I did was cut on a 45 and straight into solo cups of water. No bubbler, plain tap water, no humidity dome. It took quite a while but I had 9/10 root. I think my first roots were 3 weeks. Most of them took 4. I did change water once in a while.
