What up guys I made this thread so I can get help cloning day by day for about 2 weeks or until roots coming Ive been trying to clone for about 6 months I did it a few different ways rooter plugs rockwool, aeroponics. And I got the same results in all those styles ROOT ROT:sad: They get mushy after about 7 days then die. I really need to get this down, and I really need help almost daily, so you guys know exactcly whats going on I hope you guys can help me as much as possible to get roots. Im going to start in a couple days and I'll give you the info what im using supplies and all. Please feel free to type your methods of how you clone so me and others have an idea to start. Thanks

i got a method but idk if itll help i use schults take root rooting hormone.powder i make a humidity dome out of two small tupperware fill the bottom with pearlite shove some jiffy peat pellets all the way in the pearlite. make sure everything is moist/wet.and yea take the cuttings put them in the pellets worked for me, i put just a little water in the bottom just to make sure it stays humid.hope it helps. im gonna do this once my mother is ready

Thanks Johnny. Im working with a 72 hole seedling tray and humid dome and rooter plugs right now I want to get that mastered then move to something more advance like aeroponics but the way you do that sounds smooth bro thanks for the info.

better yet check out the thread i started when i first built my bubble cloner.

https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/363807-bubble-cloninng.html

Nowadays its the same size but shallower and i have 12 sites packed into a tupperware that's about 5 x 5 inches.... probally close to 4 inches deep. I use a good slosh of h202 and it keeps things pretty clean for a while... I probally scrub it clean once a week, algae grows but it doesnt bother me as long as i clean it regularly. Sometimes i like to drizzle a little clonex in there and it makes a nice foam, I can imagine stems supended in a clonex-ey foam would be a great enviroment for root formation. I havent had any difinitive results but its a good way to use up my clonex

Also, one more thing. People argue about whether or not for the stems to be submerged or above the water and i havent noticed a difference in rootage in that area, currently i have them submerged and it works just fine. The real key is warm water. I have mine on a heating pad but any other warming method you have will work just fine

iv never had root rot and iv never used a rooting horamon on my clones, out of the 10 i cut 8-9 root. how i do this is i cut it on no angle i dip it in water wrap some ass whipe around the stem where i want to root then i put the bottom of tissue in watter with a light light shot of 20-20-20 fert in mixed with water week as shit. no blue ting. and the tissue should be an inch to two inchs from the cut end of the clone i mist 3 times a day and at day 4-7 i take the tissue and all and put it in soil watter and they root every time.

I swear it has to be my mothers then because im way clean and my temps everything is perfect sometimes I think its a lil to perfect so I train myself to just let it do its thing and still root rot. Does anyone know what cause that? I think I maybe the first person ever to have a non cloning plant. The worst thing about it I have 2 strains and both same results.

I had a very hard time cloning also , tried every 100 % sure to work method out there.. Nothing worked. Until , I switched to spring water for my cloning. Have not lost a single clone since. The city tap water was about 240 and would not allow the cutting to root. Not only MJ plant any plant. I use clonex also.

how to clone... just for you don

alright so i thought i would make a little how to clone post just for you don.. the mini version...

1) gather all tools needed for cloning and sterilize...
2) pick your momma..
3) cut clones and place in glass of water..
4) with a sharp blade "not" sizzors slice off all but but the top 2-3 nodes..
5) with blade slice stem @ 45 degree angle preferably with 1-2 nodes below surface..
(not necessary)
6) you can also gently scrape the outer layer of the stem to expose the cambium..
this will build more roots but will take a few days longer in cubes...
7) cut all large fan leaves half way..
 place in cloning gel or powder.. gel works best and is easiest to use..
9) place in medium of choice, im using my cloner for this demo..
10) label
11) place in cloner and mist.. (this will be the only time i mist)
12)and finally clean up and leave room like you left it..

cool pics of the sliced stem huh? looks like a dragon or serpent flying

sweet i was able to just copy and paste this post from mine to yours...

Yeah bro I dont know if I read when you said that some where else but I change my whole system to RO water cuz of you or who ever said that (Thanks) But it didnt work:( And that was aeropnics), Im doing rooter plugs now, with a humid dome, What I did last time guys was I just took the rooter plugs out the bag and put them in the cloning tray, I did not treat them or anything because the guys said there ph ready, then did my cuttings with a razor, I slice at 45dg angle under water, RO water use Vital grow clone, dip it in that after then I go cut another clone while that one is in the clone solution. Then I put the second one in the solution and the first one put in the rooter plug. I also think I didnt put my clones all the way in the rooter plugs thourghly cuz I thought they would get damage going in there cuz by now I feel that cloning is real fanaky. Then I read somewhere someone saying to put your own hole in the plug so the steam can stay snug in there so Im going to make sure there in there snug. So while I make my cuttings I keep the dome close and sprayed so it keep the humid high then I put a clone in the tray one by one then when Im done cloning I put my new cuttings under a cabinet with no light because my mom room has to much air flow to keep the humid high and I put it under light a couple times and they wilt terribly so I dont put it under light and they stay up till the 7th day then root rot.:( :( :( Hey if you guys see any fault I did or anything I need to correct on that part let me know.

Hey don2009 Im a noob but ive cloned 3 times now. With the method I use ive been getting 90 - 100 percent with zero root rot. I start by clipping all my cuttings off the mother and emediatly place them in a dixie cup with about a half inch of water in the bottom. For the water in the cup I buy distilled drinking water and ph it to 5.8 - 6.2 and I add 2 drops of peroxide to the water to kill any bacteria that might get on the stem from handling. I then trim off any excess leaf material, cut the stem at a 45 with a clean razor, I then place them in a second cup with the same water as the first one untill all of them are ready. I dip them in root tech and place them in rapid rooters that have been pre soaked in the same distilled water ph at 5.8 - 6.2 minus the peroxcide. I maintane about a 1/4 of water in the bottom of the tray and spray them with the same distilled water once a day, I make sure to turn off the light long enough to let the water on the leaves dry. I get roots on most of them in about ten days and once roots are pretty established I slowly start cracking the vents a little bit more every day to eventually removing the humidity dome to get the ready to transplant.

I have been cloning using the same system as reggerican's method with great results. I would suggest not using a humidity dome if you're using rockwool cubes. I don't use one and get at least a 90% success rate.
The trick is to keep the under-side of rockwool slightly moist and warm.
A rockwool cube completely soaked generally weighs 25 grams. You want to shake out the water so that it weighs closer to 5 grams for the oxygen level to be optimum. Spray the underside once or twice daily to maintain moisture level.
I simply place on a heating matt that you get at local grow shop. If they start to look droopy, they need a spray of water on the bottom (not the top leafs}. I have also placed the tray of clones on top of shop flourecent light or refrigerator which runs slightly warm for same effect.
Just so happens that I have some recent clones I just took pics of. these are about 2 and a half weeks from having been cut from moms.

Hope this helps.

coco with canna rhizotonic is pretty good i top and stick the tops in a pot of coco and water with my regular nute solution and bing they root. regg method with the areocloner is prally the best i built a areo clone with a cheap wallmart tub but ill be at Hd getting the identical tub rgg has.

i say f the plugs go areo its faster easier and better, and it is completely free after teh first time wer plugz cost each time.

some strains are not cloneable, the breeder does something so it only seeds from him not cloneable and no males either. so i have read.

you need to start using your cloner liberty.. i went from 10-14 days to root conventional cloning to 6-8 days to fully root in my cloner, im totally impressed with the results..
