i have seen pics of leafs that have been forced to root-tiny roots coming from cut stem - i never seen a leaf turn into a plant that can be flowered an shit like a clone

haha, hes right, how the fuck are you gonna grow a plant from a fan leaf? hahaha...i can picture each spike of the fan magically turning into a stem and vuala , you have 5 to 7 tops, LOL!

I seem to remember seeing a picture on here of someone who had cloned from a leaf. Could have been "shopped", but it looked pretty real. A leaf with what looked like little roots starting to spread out.
I don't clone so I know nothing about it, other than the pictures I saw. & with tissue cloning I don't think it matters where the plant mater comes from because each cell carries the full DNA & can, in theory anyways, produce a complete new plant.
Anyways, leaf, plant, but stem.. what ever.. as long as there's buds growing its a good day.

i don't see why most of you guys don't believe it, it can be done with a number of different plants petunias of example, its the simplest form of tissue culture, when pluripotent cells (essentially stem cells) form they differentiate (as previously mentioned) into their cell types and these differentiated cells release hormones that cause other cells to reciprocate! and a new plant is formed....they WILL bud, as these plants have all the necessary genes to form buds and just like any other organism its porpoise is to reproduce, if you dont think it can be done, try it and find out....dont let your pesimisim stop the experiment, its important to be impartial or your results will suffer

never once mentioned individual leaves

to put this thread to rest, tissue culture is nothing new, but there is no way that a fan leaf can be cloned and turn into a full fledged plant. it will always just be a fan leaf, but with roots. if it could be done, then why are we not cloning fan leaves? wouldn't everyone and their mother be cloning from fan leaves by now if that was possible? why snip a growing shoot from a plant to make clones if we could clone from fan leaves? something to ponder......

stems will form,then new leaves and so on....it wont be roots forever, plants need to reproduce....its like u guys are afraid of trying new things....its just tissue culture, shit its not brain surgery........
ya grow it up. if ya lucky, you might be able to smoke the roots.
