Umm no because once you know the sex of the plant it defeats the purpose of cloning for sex.. you can take a clone whenever you want.. doesnt matter if it shows sex or not. but the point of taking a clone to figure out the sex is.. so you can leave the big plant in veg stage and put the clone into 12/12 so once it shows up male or female... you will then know what the sex is of the big plant. you can clone all the way up to the third week of flower if you have a regular seed and you want to sex it first. i would clone it as soon as it shows you preflowers.

Why not top them and then clone the top under 12/12. It will root and show sex around the same time. This way you learn the sex, get a rooted clone (that will hopefully be female), and have a topped plant which reduces size and increases yield.

ive taken clones from plants 17days into flower. they root slower and u have to spin ur wheels for 30 days while they figure out wtf happened and revert back to veg. so between the 14+ days of rooting and the 21-30 days reveg taking a clone from a flowering plant is not the brightest idea. so while technically bmeat is right....but practically speaking hes way the fuck off base. bmeat untill u are knowledgeable enough to share the full story u really need to keep that advice to urself. i hope ur next grow goes well as i know ur last was far from successful. u really should run auto flowering strains btw.
