A hand made, home built, areo-ponic cloning station, very clever and very nice.

I would like very much to hear all the details involved with build and the subsequent use of the set-up. (i.e., the mist rate, solution recipe)

Thanks Growsolo, well after testing it out with different time intervals for Temp issues...

i ran it on 10on/10off min cycles.

Temp between 70f - 75f it can go up to 78f. they root faster if temp is stable.(outside temp is 70f.

i use clonex rooting gel. i take large size clones they root faster..and just dip it in the gel and place in aero cloner 7 days first root start showing i leave them for another 5 to 7 days. total 14 days, and then in soil.

i dont add anything to the water and i dont even adjust the PH. one thing most people fail to mention when calibrating P.H and saying it has to be 5.5 to 5.8. is that they are using the cloner for hydroponic system or other water based mediums. BUT if you use soil its 6.8 Ph to 7. so if you adjust your water inside the cloner at 5.8 etc...then plant it in soil. it will go into shock and get stunt and then die. my tap water is 6.9 ph so i leave it that way.:)

light 18/6 with a humidity dome on top

hope i covered everything

Find below the picture for the 20 site cloner in a 10 gal bucket. even easier ...

No worries...i did the same mistake and then came here and was advised on this system...if you like to grow and want fast results do this system...whatever it takes :)

Now how to place the cutting...well i improvised as i dont have a local hydro shop in my country :(...so i found something close to what they use...do you know the material use for the table or chair legs ..the one to make it grip on the floor and not slide, i used that and cut it open from the mid section it looks like packman the game if you remember?

and i found a round plastic sold at an electrician store to fit the round sponge pallet ...here are some picks..hope this helps.....

And the pump that exact,y the one i used...get a strong like 3000L/H and if you are going big go with 5000L/H one you will needed it :)

So after you take your clone you just dip it in cloning gel and then put in your DIY cloner and turn on the misters? 10 mins on 10 mins off? Does added an air stone help?? Do you need water level right below the sprayers?

Hey SPARKS,

you can run it on 24/7 also works if it does not effect the temperature :) the water level is just above the water pump not below the sprayers...adding a stone will for sure help ....a small dome on top of the plants also helps in the first 3 to 4 days .goodluck
