Cloning flowering plants question

only read the first page of this, but thought id throw in my 2 cents since i can sorda relate to your original question. im major noob, have my first girl ever w/ about 3 weeks left, and i took 2 clones from her at around 3 weeks into flowering. i planted them in tiny little cups of canna coco w/ rootech gel, shaved the bottom of the stem, split it vertically, and then waited. put them under 2 23w 6500k cfls just out in the open in my bedroom, misted them a couple times a day with plain water (didnt even ph) and if the coco got really dry looking dribbled a little water in it. i abused the hell outta these things. random ass light cycles because id get annoyed with the light at night and turn them off for 6, 7, even 8 hours. bottom set of leaves died, 2nd set started to, but at around 2 weeks i finally saw roots to the bottom of the dixie cups. transplanted into party cups, and a week or so later had 3" roots out the bottom. mainly what im saying is.......give it a shot. and if it doesnt work.......then you know what doesnt work, give it another shot another way. btw my clones have like 5 new nodes on them, very green, probably going to go back into flowering in another week or 2
