cloning budsites?

The bud will actually grow into a plant itself, each little bud bump becomes a branch...and they turn into monster plants...the single leaf thing will stop and normal leaves will grow in, but they will be 3 leafed, they will get more blades as they grow, just seems like they stay at 3 for awhile. I monster crop all the time, because it never fails I always change my mind and want one more clone. I've gotten great results so I keep on doing it.
 
however rooting a branch while still on the plant seems fairly new and I'll be trying it soon.
 
I have a sweet tooth clone that came from a branch with buds all over it, it grew real funny for about a month but now its just as good as the others.

I actually had a older grower tell me cutting the branch off and cloning it was new to him. He was telling me how he used to just make a slit on the branch and put the gel there so it could still receive water while it rooted? Not sure how true this is but I don't think he has much of a reason to lie to me.

I stand corrected! basically nothings new. However, I did say FAIRLY new, thats kinda broad.
 
The OP is back and remembers what the thread was about. I cloned an actual bud and it did as some of you said it would. I grew like crazy mutant style and ended up reverting back to 5 leave nodes.
