cloning 6 weeks into flowering?

Hello, I had a cloning disaster with my Barney's utopia Haze and all my month and a half old clones are dead... anyways I have one female in flowering which looks great and I want to keep her genetics. I'm looking for advice, should I cut a clone now, or try to wait until the end of flowering? If I do cut a clone should I leave the bud on it or cut it off? Any help would be appreciated.

Take it now. there's no advantage in letting it finish. leave the bud on it. Choose the cut as if it were still in veg, and do everything normally. The cut will root just fine, but it will take a couple months for it to completely turn around and start vegging again. Don't be scared by the new growth when it starts. It will look rather odd.

well cloning in flowering is probably the worst thing u can try to be honest. the clone is gunaa have to go back into veg and its most likely gunna b a retard by then (seriously) but if u do, do it. clone it let it root (witch is gunaa take a WHILE!!) then it will grow new colas out of the trike that r on the bud, clone those and u will have a better chance at getting a good clone, but thats the only way i kno to do it KINDA legit. lol

thanks for the quick responses, still not sure of what I'm gonna do, I'm thinking about flowering it, chopping it and then putting it back in my veg room.... any thoughts on to whether this would work?

re-veg? YEA! alot of people do it. just try to keep AS MUCH of the foliage u can (70% is good) then just giv it time to click back into veg

Well, I'd do both. While the cutting is taking it's damn time about rooting and revegging itself, you can reveg the flowered plant. By the time the harvested one is revegged and flowered again, the cutting you took will have grown into a new mom ready to have cuttings taken from herself.

thanks again guys, so I will go with your advice and take a cutting today. If the cutting turns out good I will not reveg as it would be a pain (this sativa is getting really tall!) If not at least I have the back up plan of revegging,,,, thanks again for the advice
