I always take more cuttings than I need. I start them in peat pucks on a heat mat under a dome. 10-14 days after most are though the puck, I give a little tug test on the remainders. If they lift the puck I plant em. If they pull out, I chuck em.
Most strains get 100% rooting, but I am usually in a hurry and take extra and throw lagers.
They can look fuckin awful sometimes. Humidity sickness and yellowing can make them look like they are dying. Stems can purple. Clones taken in bud can sometimes take longer than if taken in veg. Especially if you need to nip out the centers.

Some butt uglies stragglers that will do just fine.

These are 6 days old, some might just barely have root bumps. I cut the extra leaves off so they dont dry out too fast before they can start sucking up water. That little shrivelled thing is one that didnt make the cut...embolysm most likely. Sometimes my rooting powder cakes on the stem and keeps it dry so i make sure let the water run down my newly cut and plantes clones stem. I plant at least an 1" deep, and make sure the stem isnt sitting in saturated soil. I have a lot to learn, and once i found a way thay worked i stuck with it. I nees to diversify. Im definetaly interested in bubble stones and the honey methods. I can always tell that theyre alive because they stay firm instead of going limp, when they go limp theyre done.

update after about two weeks most of the cuttings that I took have roots. IBA = 2 weeks for NL5 and Flo placed directly in soil. This one ended up culled because the mother plant ended up being a father plant. It's a little dried out, but I was happy to see roots.

yup. they are just going to get little flowers on top. then it will take extra long to get them out of flower and back into veg. Then you'll freak out thinking their huge single leaves are a mutation.Then they will straighten out and be fine. I like going 18/6. it's the classic clone cycle.

You can get them back in veg????
