Clones

It's really hard to get roots after only 4 days. Typically takes me a minimum of 10 days after cuttings to see new growth starting.

How were you cloning?
I took the branch cut at 45 degree took off lower branches it’s just with that bottom been brown wasn’t sure if it was dead

The bottom can darken before they show small white bumps. Those small white bumps could be the beginning of new roots. There are still some fan leaves on the top of the clone ... so did you put that clone back in the damp medium?

What medium are you using?

Yup ... I hear you. We all came from "its my first time doing all this." As we have all found out, probably the hard way, every aspect of cultivating these ladies requires patience. Cloning, waiting for mature bud, slow drying and curing ... all of that takes time and patience.

... Yeah I bought a cloning sponge set of 24 I gave them first feed.. that’s what it’s called ...
Put it back into that sponge - hopefully nothing got effed when you pulled it out - give it some warmth, some humidity and some gentle 18/6 lighting (CFL's work for clones). Leave it alone in the warm humid environment then see if you can see a new growth tip in 10 more days.

And ... you already gave them some nutes?

In a dome ... good! Leave said dome in place for many days.

Others have had success misting their clones. Me - not so much. So to provide the humid environment, I'll add a couple of shot glasses of water per clone inside the dome. I also use a heat mat that maintains around 80 F - 82 F inside the dome. The heat just keeps enough humidity. From cuttings, 10 - 14 days I have new vegging clones.

Is that a low wattage LED?

Cloning really isnt that difficult. Keep humidity up, trim back the leaves and be patient.
I have had nearly 100% success with a glass of water, and aloe.
It doesnt need to be complicated and require a bunch of stuff.

Yeah the lights low but really bright it cost me 50 pound.. it’s for clones or seedlings.. I started with seeds in the dome so I k ow it’s good

... As long as the cutting isn't wilting, it'll most likely strike. Patience, dude. Don't kill em with kindness ...
Even if the cutting is wilting ... they could still be revived.

My first kick with the dome was in front of a sunlit window thinking that sunlight would help the clones. Wrong!!

I cut them and got them in the dome early in the morning and stuck them in the window. By the end of that afternoon, all 8 clones wilted because of the heat/light of the spring sun. They all looked like boiled spinach on a Rockwool cube. Moved the dome to my (now) normal cloning spot, used the heat mat (it's a rather cool spot), re-moistened the Rockwool, put a dozen shot glasses of water in, put the dome on, turned the CFL on and just walked away.

Within 48 hours, all 8 of the clones perked right back up. 12 days later, all 8 rooted.

These things are a pretty hearty species.

Don’t mean to hijak Op just seemed like a good place to ask.

Oh for sure. Ive had em wilt real bad and then come back too. But i never took em out of the media lol. That certainly helped.
