This is the first time i tryed to cut clones i talked to the guy at the grow shop and he told me what to buy so i bought mini starter blocks and some liquid bio root and i have some cheap powder i got from walmart its called take root.... He told me to pre soak the cubes with the bio root 2 tea spoons per gallon of water and to dip my clone in the powder and put them into the blocks and i have tryed atleast 15 clones of 3 different strains and none of them would root.... he told me to mist them with just water once a day i did that and they still did nothing but die..... i dont want to keep cutting clones and them not root so what should i do...... any advice is great and thanks in advance.... oh yeah and I grow my other plants in soil i dont use a hydro system....

Some strains are harder to clone than others. Make sure to ph the water that you soak the cubes in and you want to squeeze the water out of them. You want them wet but not soaked.

How are you cutting them?

I use Clonex solution and Roottech Gel. I place them in a domed tray with perlite and cloning solution in the bottom tray and just spray them with 5.6 water twice a day under T5 lights. This is what I got after 15 days my first rip at taking clones.

Go to wal-mart they have a miricle grow green house for $7 it works perfect for clones and fits 4 only tho.............just put the clones in and open it up once a day to let fresh air in........and wait 2 weeks

i cut some on a angle and some stright i tryed some in a dome and some in party cups with ziplock bags over them and my lights i have 2 4foot fluorescent lights

the simplest method is just water. i have a simple bubbleponics setup thats 100% effective. i do dip the stems in olivias root gel, but really it doesnt matter it just speeds them up. also heat also will help as well

i tryed preety much the same as you there with the same results but then i got jucy roots rooting gel put them in presoaked rockwool cubes and dumped a little rooting powder also with just one 24inch fsu bulb in a homemade cakepan greeenhouse on a shelf above my 400hps for the extra heat now 9 outta 10 seen to go i also cut all the leaves in half

hey man.. i had the same problem until i did this.. i went to the hydro store.. bought some rapid rooters.. not jiffy pellets.. u can use soil with no nutes in it.. or rockwoll.. get a bottle of rootech cloning gel or clonex rooting gel.. both work great.. prepare the clone on the plant first .. so cut off the leaves ur going to cut off .. then make that cut at an angle.. put the clone right into the rooting gel. and place into rapid rooter.. make sure its nice and snug.. and the rapid rooters i get are usually wet already perfect for clones.. u can also try.. cuting at an angle and putting directly into a cup of water.. and let them sit until u take like 10-15 clones making sure to label the cups u put them in.. and then cut them again at and angle UNDERWATER... make sure ur cuts are with brand new razors and u are actualy cutting with the sawing motion not pushing and crushing on threw the stem.. well take your time.. i personaly watched many videos on everything i do before i do anything.

and ya i have better results under 2 4 foot 32 watt flourecent bulbs over each dome.. i have 3 domes so 3 lights of 2 . but wen i was using a 400 watt mh light for the 3 domes but had it raised like 3 feet above them nothing would root.. it was like they were trying to grow not root with the amount of light.. and make sure u wait atleast 7 days before even picking them up to look for roots and ull be so much happier i would check everyday and nothing. so i stopped checking until 7 days and so many more went threw . now i dont even look for roots till day 12.. and usualy the entire dome of 50 is ready between 12-14 days.. depending on temps.. if its cold outside in ur area use a heating matt . but this time of year here not needed

Thanks vic420 and ithopkins. That's what I was doing wrong I was pulling them out of the cubes to check them everyday. So now I'm just gunna leave them alone and see what happens.
