Clones not rooting

I’m using rapid rooter cubes, Clonex clone solution for the water, mildly scraping clone before dipping in Clonex gel, and also take root, I put them inside a humidity dome with a little of the clone water in the bottom. Sitting on top of a heating pad. I also have a 12W LED grow light on top of the dome. Still no roots.

should I have the light on top or hanging slightly above?

Maybe patience is my biggest problem. I was thinking I could get the roots in 5-7 days like the videos I’ve watched but maybe that’s only with great genetics???

Some plants root faster than others. You can have one of the highest quality genetics and it will still have different phenotypes. It could produce phenominal bud but still take longer to root than others. Alot of it comes down to the health of the mother plant, if she was fed properly and growing healthy with good airflow that will impact the clones health. Looks like it's steaming up good. Take the dome off for 1 min and replace it 1 time every day and you should see roots soon. I usually see them as soon as 5 days and sometimes as late as 10 days depending on the strain.

Some strains take longer. At this stage I would not have any water in trays and let the medium dry out a tad (never let medium fully dry) this will encourage root grow and get clones wanting to search for water.
Also everyday introduce a little more fresh air!!

I thought i really sucked at cloning. Till i build a decent mother room. At that moment i got two mother rooms. One in a basement with high humidity and a bit mold on the basement walls etc. And one in a cleaner environment.

Both mothers are healthy but the ones from the clean environment root way better then the ones from the “dirty” environment which have a pretty high damping off and white fuzzy mold percentage

Yea too humid man. Giving a less humid environment as cuttings become older also promotes root growth as the cutting will search for water. Be careful not to do this too early and dry them out....

The only hanging option I have is the one I posted in pic and it’s about 12” above the dome
There are always more hanging options, MacGyver that thing if needed, but the set up should work. Basically same thing I am using but I have a 24W square blue light, and mine is in a small small tent. When you took your cuttings and scraped the stem did you use a new sterile scalpel for each mother plant you took clones from? I have had 100% success so far, 14 seeds and 25 cuttings, 14 seeds sprouted and 25 cuttings rooted.

Thanks man
Its a waiting game now. if no roots by 14 days then id start to worry. i wouldnt use the heat pad if the ambient temp of room is in 70s. Also take the dome off for 5 minutes or so everyday at first and do as you have with alittle water in the bottom of tray to keep humidity up but dont spray them at all. Also the height of light is fine hanging but i would get a low wattage white led tube not that blurple but thats more a preference of mine.

definitely thought it was a white light until I plugged it in /: it’s kinda hard finding a white one for the price I got this blurple for

I use scissors for every cutting and I disinfected before using everytime. I really don’t understand, maybe it’s a slow rooting strain
