clones leaves drooping cause

so what exactly is the cause of leaves drooping after cloning? i've been told so many different things i dont know what to believe. i heard not enough water and i've heard too much water. now dont get me wrong my clones are usually successful. but my soil ones always droop the first couple days. my clones in my aero system never droop. for soil i just dip them in clonex and put them in fox farm light warrior soil. then i put the out of direct light in my veg room where i use a 600w hps on 24/7(seems to me like mh causes more stretching).

I've heard a lot of bad things from cloning with soil, my guess on the drooping is lack of humidity. I have a homemade Aero system and it does pretty well. I recommend covering each clone with a lil baggy with a few holes in it. That should stop the drooping.

i just got a clone and 3 hrs later its drooping, ill try that bag idea

actually with my aero system i dont even use a dome. near 100% success rate and they never droop.

soil my clones stop drooping after 2-3 days. want them to not droop at all.

i had that problem almost every time i tried cloning and popping them in soil but just a few weeks ago i made a little four pot dwc cloner unit , basically plastic tub with an air pump, i popped them under my 125 watt starter light and put little clear plastic cups over each clones, no seen a single sign of drooping

the soil wicks water away from cutting at first due to osmosis. after things balance plant perks up. that's my theory.

actually i also have done that in the past with great success and no drooping. i didnt use a dome at all though. all i did was got a half gallon black bucket filled with cloning solution. cheap airstone and pump added. i placed root riot cubes in net pots. let the water just touch the bottom of the cubes. as long as done properly i got near 100%. but still thats hydro. i want no drooping for soil. thanks everyone for the responses.

yeah but it will black out a lot of light a really good dome is one of those cake tray covers

or im currently using a mason jar for my one clone

cool, about how many weeks till I introduce the MH light?

I used this method for a single clone once and it worked, Solo cup with a sandwich baggy over it.

Or me: Solo cup with a solo cup over it. Found clear ones for tops at wal mart. They're a little smaller than the red ones, so they make a good seal on the inside of the cup.
