I think the only way the clones can get messed up is if it gets bugs of mold and you have to kill it, been cloning clones of clones for a while never seen a problem but lost a few plants due to mold/bugs.

stress, bugs, mold, neglect,,all reasons generations suffer...
keep a good enviroment, clones of clones, stay great moms for years n years, adapting better to your grow with each generation...clone away, just dont neglect them and they will repay you with years of hefty harvests..

i feel like the seeds we pay for get so many dif phenios with each seed, once you find that one you like and take care of it, it can supply you with moms for a very long time..i just wish wen paying for seeds, each one was what we pay for,, i hate phenio hunts, i like uniform, stable breeds..each seed is what you like..but thats just not how it is,, so make S1's of all your favorites and if stress, bugs, etc destroy your mom u have back ups...grow well to all..

I hear the same shit all the time, It is bullshit , I have a gumboldt clone from northern cali from years ago, it was from a clone from a clone from a clone, I have taken thousands of clones of this strain from several different mothers and NEVER had any loss of quality or yield. That being said the only way I could see it happening is if there is an environmental issue that causes it. I know a guy who has a strain that has been in clone form since the seed was popped in 1970 when he got back from nam. Well now his son has it but , No issues there either.....

Theres breeders that have been taking thousands of clones from clones and still have the exact genetics.
That why they charge 100dollars a seed because they have done this and can vouch for the clone/seeds.
