clones died

I took 3 clones off of two plants that were two months old. The clones are the ones in my "Droopy clones" post. Well they are now dead. I went to my local hydroponics shop and told them about my situation. They told me that a plant that is started from seed needs to be at least five months old before you can clone it. I've never heard of this before and was wondering if anyone else has? Or how old a plant needs to be before it can be cloned.

I have seen clones come from plants a lot younger than 5 months...

Are you sure they are dead?

I would trim off the big leaves, leave only one or two smaller leaves and keep them under 24hrs light high humidity.

You never know they may come around

I haven't tossed them yet. The leaves are all shriviled up. I'll give them another week or so and see what happens.

You can make clones from a mom that's two months old.
