clones changing

hello rollitup.
I got some clones from a friend about 9 weeks ago. (its ether blue cheese or jack haere)
anyways the plants at my buddys house were really compact indica lookin strains.
now so were mine all theway through veg but when I went in to flower these things started showing a heavvvy sativa traits. It streched out quite a bit. And the fingers look way different vary skinny and long not wide like they were.
has anyone had this happen before. I was alway under the impresion that your plant is what it is and that's it

It's sounds like plant just went into it's stretch like it was suppose to.

Once you flip a plant into flower, for the first 2 weeks or so it will stretch, doubling to tripling in size. Sometimes less, sometimes more. The amount of stretch will depend on the plants phenotype.

It should stop after a couple weeks, and then bud production with begin.

see I know how the streching thing works the double to triple the their size. For about two too three weeks
what's stumping me is the newer leaves its pushed out during the stretch.
they leaves look like theirs heavy sativa. During veg they had all the propertys of an indica. Vary tight nodes and fat leaves.
my buddy who I got the cuttings off of. His plants look vary indica. And there almost done flowering.

I've just never seen a plant start off looking like indica then having sativa traits. Espically when the momma plant looked like an indica.

im not worried about it. I just wanted to see if anyone has had this happen. Or if this normal. Cuz the plant would be pretty damn old concidering the momma.it came from.(he begged for about three months)

btw I should also mention. Im in the 5th week of flower(think its ganna be a10weeker) I begged for about 8 weeks

I'm sure it's genetics but I can see it just the plant putting more effort in bud production then the leaves.

Your plant is what the genetics say AND what your lights say. Generally, the closer you put a seedling to the light the less early stretching you will see. I like to jam them up near the 400W vegging bulb after they reach 10-14 days in dirt. Makes for a shorter, bushier plant. BigSteve.

okay that's what I was thinking also. Cuz its mostly one the leaves that the cola would be and over the past couple days they've all been growing in those areas alot. This has been along start to flower ( 5weeks in and the things are just starting to take off. Had ph problems and an N abundance. Fixed)


I started them off under 6cfls 6500k and one t5. Did that for 4 weeks then moved them under the 600w m.h for another 4 weeks. Flowering under 600hpsganna be under 1000 watt soon

My plants almost always have their leaves narrow during flower. Just means its starting to flower.

what's weird is the momma that they came from are almost done flowering and they still have the wider leaves. But I guess come to thing of it on my last grow I I kinda remeber some narrower leaves at the top

As long as shes happy/healthy and lookin' dank I wouldn't take much thought into it haha.

oh there lookin super good alittle bit in the high heat side but good for the most part in still learning. And I got a long wayyybto go haha
