Now i know clones dont need a lot of light, and i know intense light is bad.. what i want to get some opinion on, and fact, is optimal conditions.

Below is a pic of where my clones will be, first off, does this setup look okay? (heating pad underneath a tray inside, testing the temps tonight) but the dome looks like it filters out alot of light, it's clear but kind of hazy clear if you know what i mean, anyway you can see it in the pic.

As you can see above i have 4, 42watt softwhite cfl's, 2700 lumen, will all four be considered too much, should i turn some off for the clones? what do you think?

Hey Russ,

One light will be enough.. as soon as you see roots, turn THEM all on and lower them into the container...

How hot does it get in that BOX? How cold?

cheers

PS - aways nice chatting with you in CHAT room!!

get in the chat room then!

Thanks for the reply knowm!
As i always i trust you word and i will do this, thank you.

I'm testing the temps right now so ill let you know, im shooting for a stable 75 even the rockwool cubes, hopefully to clone my ladies again soon!

i just read 100F on the tray, turned off the 3 cfl's and going to re check but it looks like i may not need a heating pad after all

i got it to about 75-80, with the inside fo the rwool reading about 71F, this should be good enough for optimal rooting?

I cloned a few small branches lastnight, and they seem to be doing well, at first they were very limp and hanging over, now they are perked up

I'm going to use the two new colas on the top of my best strain so far, to make new clones, hopefully this will provide superior results, it's the only decent branching it has thus far, and time is of the essence

ive had great sucess clonging the colas when i chopp them off, they make for the best cones having so much leaves and being compact already, are you doing anything for humidity
