You should be fine, taking clones early in flower is one of the easiest ways to root because of hormones in the plant.

Cloners work great man,, on the other hand is a waste of $ I think,, I personally use jiffy tubes,, I cut a clone,, use clone x gel,, trim leaves down,, stick in jiffy tube,, then take 2 solo cups (clear) tape 1 side together to create a dome,, then spray every hr or keep moist... Boom that's it,, in a week you'll have new roots growing,,, must always keep moist....

I use Rapid rooters for monster cropping, have for years. I usually cut my clones at 20 days into 12/12 on my gorilla glue. They take a little longer to root than clones cut in veg but they sure branch out.

So macsnax you think il be ok using the cloner?
I think you're good man. Make sure your water temp is good with it being winter. I'm running a bucket cloner right now with Mylar bubbler wrap around it to keep it around 75-80f. Roots in about 9 days.
