Clone storage

Hey guys, so my lovely lady seems to be growing big and strong. Unfortunately I will not be able to take care of her for two months after the next couple of weeks. Is there a way to store clones? I tried searching the forum by could not find the info. I believe that I had read something about storing them in the freezer in the past, but I may be mistaken. Would hate to get rid of her with nothing to show for it. Will post pics later, not that it's important to the question.

Never heard of that... It'd be the thawing out part that would be tricky...:-P

No friend to take care of 'em for ya? Try searching for automatic watering techniques. Maybe stick them outside and hope they survive.

As long as you can keep some life in them, you have a chance to nurse them back when you get home.

:peace:

I have stored clones(cuttings no roots) for 35 days in the fridge, but ensure they are well trimmed, dry, and wrapped in a damp kitchen towel..I don't recommend you go past 30 days, they can easily rot and do NEED light at some stage

Yes, it is possible to put the bebes in stasis with a method posted in a previous thread.

Wow... Nice. Thanks for linking.

I can't believe it. Cool.

:-POh, uh, on a side note, if you leave the door open, the light will stay on.:-P

Well thats unfortunate. I am unable to get anyone to take care of her. However, it is getting really warm outside, so that will be the likely route for me. At least Ive gotten some experience out of it, as it is my first grow and was mostly for that purpose (except for one previous grow that I had to throw out after 2 weeks unexpectedly). Anyways, here is a picture of her today, at just over 5 weeks since planting her.

It's a beauty.

Clarification eased ...thanks for the pic ,...away for 2 months water well or leave in a bath for an hour to soak, and she should be OK, depending on current temps, or as many gardeners do, get some of those Silicon water crystals at the grow shop soak in water and sprinkle on top of the soil ...but I may give her a serious hair cut first

To be honest, I havent been keeping up with this grow all too much. When I used that box previously, the temps ranged between 68-87 degrees. Not sure about humidity for this grow either. Ive really just let her grow on her own. No nutrients, though I have seen a little bit of a problem lately with just a few leaves, though it isnt spreading. It is growing in FFOF soil with 100 true watts of cool white cfls. I intended to clone her and flower the clones in the future once I have a better setup with HID lights, but this is now going to be delayed, and I may start over from a new seed I guess. Or thats what its looking like right now. By the way, this is a northern lights x skunk freebie from Herbies.
