Clone Only Strain???

Is it even worth the effort to try and obtain a strain of these?
Why is it clone only? Is it chemically resistant?

What are the pros and cons here? Elaborate...

Clone only means there is no male of this strain available for breeding/making seeds so have to clone it to keep the strain.

Pros and cons would be specific to a strain not " clone onlys" in general

Which strain are you talking about?
no particular strain

That's why I asked if "clone onlys" are chemically resistant. Cant you just use chemicals or stress it to make male flowers? Then just self it? Then you have seeds of that strain right? Or is clone only just one spectacular pheno that is near impossible to duplicate?

I'm trying to understand how something can be clone only in the first place or if its intentional because of a pheno. I never had a clone only, but I do understand genetics very well.

even selfed seeds can produce different pheno variants. while it is more likely to get the same pheno as the clone only over the original pack / strain is was selected from its not a guarantee.
cloning is the only way to ensure that you keep the exact plant that you want.

you seem to know very little for knowing so much

No need to be a troll I stated myself that you can get other phenos. Why be negative like this?

Its not as if any breeder can guarantee their plant will grow as they describe on seed selling websites.
I think everyone who grows any seed knows about Phenos I take that as common sense.
I'm aware of what clones are, also common sense. I was just trying to understand the purpose of "clone only".

From the answers you guys have given me it just seems like its a specific pheno. Otherwise a breeder would just stabalize the traits and sell the seeds.

I also know that the longer you go down the clone line the more you begin to loose original genetic information. Eventually that will produce a plant with less desirable characteristics than the original.

Ok, maybe my question is too vague. Let me ask another way.

Are clone only strains usually elite strains?
1. Mold resistant
2. Higher than average potency
3. easy to grow -indoor/outdoor
4. High stress tolerance- temp/nutrients
5. Excellent yielders

Just looking for a reason to get a clone only because honestly I can get all that from a plant from seed.

TBH clone onlys are normally kept for a specific reason, the taste or smell or growing characteristics etc

I.E. Exodus Cheese.....Was found in a pack of Skunk #1 seeds and was kept solely because it tasted and smelt like cheese and is incredibly potent, in its clone only form it is a good yielding, very potent smoke, whereas just recently it has been selfed i believe and seeds made and none of the seed versions/crosses have anywhere near the potency or depth of taste/smell.

So basically....clone onlys are kept to preserve a certain set of genetics because when they are selfed and crossed they lose something, whether it be potency/taste/smell etc

Proper cheese when grown well tastes like a dirty rotten stilton gangfuck in the back of your throat and feels like its paralysing your lungs so makes it hard to breathe

Cheese was pretty much all I grow for 3 years. Coincidentally I was also a cheesemonger for those 3 years. It was nothing like any cheese let alone stilton. I was under the impression it got its name because if the power of its stink, in the same way cheese is overpoweringly smelly, not because it smells like cheese. IMO it smells absolutely nothing like cheese. And I know cheese.

Cheese is a skunk pheno that smells particularly sweaty like cheese feet.
