Clone Machine..?

OK so i made my own clone machine tired of the dome an spray an pray lol. So my question is, how long do i keep the clone machine on an do i put any solution in the water at all i mean i have the clone x gel an liquid so don't know what i should do lol. Also here's a tip if you take your cuttings dip in your root hormone then just stick the cutting in a glass of water in a warm place you can get roots in 3days only thing is that you have to keep the water clean an use distilled water...... :leaf:

use plain tap water no need to ph it even. run your pump 80 seconds on 8 minutes off. with lights on 24/7

why are you asking about a clone machine when you can get roots in three days in a glass of water?

But what kind of clone machine do you have? A DWC "bubble" cloner? an aero cloner?

I use a home made DWC bubble cloner. I have used Olivias but dont use gels or powders anymore. Just cut them and put them in the foam collar, then into the cloner. I use tap water, a few drops of superthrive in a 3.5 g bucket. Leave air pump on 24/7. Get roots in a week.

I guess I should have mentioned that this is for a aero cloner.

Ok good question well i made a ez clone machine in a 5 gallon bucket with 15 sprayers an i wanted to try something new thats all an i read or saw you can leave the pump on 24/7 an wanted a second opinion

running the pump 24/7 will heat the water up to much.

This may sound sarcastic, but it's not - legitimate question. If you built/made your own.. shouldn't you know best by what schedule it operates at efficiently / with no problems?

I know it sucks starting over but if you build a new cloner like this you will get better results!

Not really. There are many how too vids on you tube that don't tell you the schedule it operates the best on.

Alrighty! Am wondering how these things really ever turn out in the big picture... I'd rather just rather go clone under the dome, mist, keep RH up, burp it a few times a day for air exchange, personally.

Yes i know what you mean an i've tried that way but didn't like it to much so i went with the glass of water which works well an then i was sitting here an said hey lets try making a clone machine an see how that works so with that said i'm always venturing into new ways an stuff ever since my first grow i've been hooked lol..

here is 17 days from taking my (purposely extra small for a experiment) cuttings. I run strait tap water with the pump on 80 seconds and off 8 minutes. most people have 100% success rate this way!

Cool video, as for tap.. am glad my tap water isn't fucked up. No chloromine, tests 6.9 +/- .01

I did make a few changes from stinkbud's to the sprayer manifold and also I added a drain valve with a garden hose attachment to the spray manifold so I can use the pump to empty it into the tub and then hook up to the faucet to fill back up!

that's nice bra i have a timer that does 15min increments so i might have to do 15on 15off
