Clone King 25 | Anyone use it? Do I still need rockwool/cubes & gel to clone with it?

Do I still need cubes (rockwool or riot) and cloning gel with something like this?

It's a tub with aeroponic sprayers under the net pots. The cut out neoprene foam inserts go on top of the netpots to keep the moisture in.

The directions for the product are as follows:
Directions:

  • Take your cloner out of the box and assemble it. Assembly will take less then 5 minutes.
  • Fill the reservoir with water. The reservoir holds about 4 – 5 gallons of water when The Clone King is operating.
  • Take a cutting from your favorite plant.
  • Place the cutting inside a neoprene insert.
  • Place your insert and cutting in the machine.
  • Plug The Clone King in and your done.

That makes me believe they don't use the cubes & gel.

Any feedback would be helpful! I'm trying to avoid the cost of seeds in the future.

Oh for fucks sake.....

:sigh:
You just like to post to increase your post count or something? Never mind; I went onto YouTube and got more help from that. No one seems to use rooting gel with a system like this. It wouldn't make sense to since the sprayers would just blast the gel off of the cutting.

You don't need rockwool, the clone is held in place by the neoprene insert. Cloning gel still helps, but the trick is letting the gel dry for ~10 minutes before putting it in the cloner.

I already answered the question. The frat-boy attitude on this board is really off-putting: meaning you and smokinrav.

I have one and it works great! Usually It takes my cuttings from a mother plant around 10 days before roots show. This time I took 6 cuttings from a flowering plant that I harvested, and I'm on day 25 and only 1 has rooted. It looks they the rest are going to root, but it's slow this time.
