clone help please

hey guys
well im getting frustrated, this is my third attempt at cloning and still not even a glimmer of hope.
attached are my attempted clones, the one in the cup is just a experiment to see what would happen if just left in water (but im guessing the light could fuck it - not bothered by this)

the other two are in a mixture of potting soil and seed raising mix(coir block).

i drenched the mix, let sit for 10 mins before the clones went in. cut the clones, rubbed in some rooting powder, straight into mix.
ive been spraying em 2-3 times a day, making sure never gets dry, theres a dome that sits over the top to keep humidy. sits on a 18/6 timer.
what am i doing wrong?

the last shot is the parents they came from (on left -its a male, but i thought i'd work out this cloning stuff before i attacked the female(right bushy one) before i fuck everything up.

cheers

set the timer to 24hour light. Also, you're doing everything right, except how are you going to know when they root?

I've cloned in soil, and the only real drawback was that I couldn't tell when they had rooted.

I use rockwool cubes. Clones, depending on how much light they get, can root in anything from 3 to 14 days. Could take longer if they don't get much light.

just on my last goes, ive pulled slightly to see if theres any resitence(roots stickign to the soil) and they just pull out and nothing on them, that was after a week etc.

fuck knows, there not very warm.. its prob about 10-18 degrees c

Some plants are just hard to clone, while many behave as if they were meant for it, others dont, it's a fact.. take a few cuttings, pray.. and start flowering their mothers.. cut your losses nacka! That's what I'm doing :) My timer starts flower tomorrow :)

Hey there, try using another meduim for them like a jiffy plug or rockwool cube. Keep em moist, not too wet and mist them a couple times a day. You should see roots within a week. Are you putting the rooting powder right on the cut end before you put it in the soil? Try that too. I use a cloning gel that works well. Other than those suggestions, you are doing it right, the same as I would. :peace:
