CLF Advise please and size

Hi guys,

please can you help out a noob,

a tent, 100 inch by 100 inch there is a dual cfl light 300 watt, is this enough for size of tent, also have to move plants as grows to directon of light, so plant as straight as possible. Was thinking putting to 2 x cfl dual lights 200watt each. But will that make it to hot? or to much light? please can you advise?

Also a normal fan in side, does this need to be on 24/7 or can fan be of during light of hours.

100 inches=8.3 feet
Assuming that's not a typo you'd want around 3000-4000 watts of lighting.
Probably would burn your house down trying to daisy chain that many cfls together.
You can turn the fan off at night, but plants generally do best if temps drop by 20 degrees fareinheight at night, so this depends on your set up, location etc. Can always keep vents open if your tent has them too.

I would get a 250w mh or hps

More light same price for electricity but a 250w setup will cost a little more but cfl is good for beginners

No the cola give little heat and no need ballast

Fluorescents > cfl IMO if u want to be a cheap beginner.

100 inch as in 2.5 meters ?? A single CFL would be no good for an area that size ... I used a 300w CFL in an area about 30inch x 30inch , did the job and was great for just playing around but I'd say if you want a decent yield you would need to look at upgrading

yeah with cfl i use about 75-100 watts per square foot. theyre not as efficient as hids so you have to use more lights if you want dense bud
