Hello everyone, I was wondering if one were to run clear see-through piping for a water line in a grow room for whatever reason , Would there be any affect to the water from light or UV's etc ?

Ph and temp fluxuating?
Inline bacteria?
The different affect to plain water and water mixed with nutrients?

thanks

Negative...If you're using clear tubing of any kind for water transportation...theres a strong possibility that Algae/Bacteria will grow inside of it. Never expose resevoirs, ebb+flow, water supply, etc to light...algae growth can harbor disease, draw insects, and inhibit flow and healthy root growth.

If you're just using it for quick fill-ups or drains, and the water doesnt sit in it for a long period of time then its alright.

Sure, it enables one to see whats going on inside of it, but eventually that view will be blocked by residue and algae.

Also...when putting together a hydro system, be careful to avoid exposing roots and reservoirs to light as well.

My recommendation is for black, or white tubing.
