Clear? Cloudy? Confused!

Hi folks,

I'm about 6 weeks in to flowering my first plant, a Haze X Northern Lights X Skunk blend called Early Vixen by Crop King Seeds. I grow in a small agro-tent under t-5 lights. Organic soil, General Organics nutes.

She looks beautiful, do to a longer vegetative state and fimming, has about 8 good sized colas and 4 smaller ones. The red/brown hairs starting to turn everywhere, but I scoped the trichs last week and they were most decidedly clear. Today they look like they are starting to cloud up pretty good. I must admit that I took a tiny sample to quick dry/vape and I outside of tasting shitty like I knew it would, I have a very very nice body buzz going right now. My questions are 1) are you seeing any of the cloudiness that I am, 2)obviously I have at least two weeks before harvest as I want to do a good nute flush. Is NOW the time to start flush and end nutes if I want to harvest in two weeks? If I start flushing now, how much more do you think the trichs will cloud/amber(will it even get there) over that time. Sorry if these trich pics suck, best I could do with tiny mic and phone camera. trichs.jpg trichs2.jpg

for my taste they are too early for harvest. post more pics in a few days:i'm guessing day 55 flowering for harvest day, but keep hitting up small samples. as far as flushing, that's up to you. that topic has been the cause of years of ongoing debate on this site. i don't flush. GL

Yep, many days ahead of you still. I like to look through my scope and see all white, opaque trichs before chopping. Don't need to flush the organic soil. Some do, some don't, heated battles around here about flushing. Do what works for you, that's how you learn. Trial and error.

Don't flush here either and please be patient. Those are some gorgeous looking girls, please don't harvest until they are fully mature. Based on pics I say 3 weeks at least.

Flushing in organic soil is pointless. I grow soiless with chemical (dyna gro) nutes and don't flush. I have done experiments with side by side sister clones flushed and unflushed using 3 long time smoker friends as testers and none of us could tell a difference. Nutes are stored in the leaves not the buds. I feed mine till harvest to keep them green and healthy all the way thru but don't take my word for it. Experiment sometimes to see for yourself. That's how you learn what works for YOU.
Flushing can be a very heated topic of debate for a lot of growers but I always say I do what works for me,you do what works for you. Either way I hope your harvest is the very best it can be.
Enjoy

Clear? Cloudy? Confused.....

Sounds like our local weather folks...

Deciding to pick when clear or cloudy or somewhere in between, is a personal choice. The more cloudy, the more CBD type of buzz will be experienced.(couch lock)

While the more clear, will give you a more thc- laden headier lighter shorter lasting buzz...

Thank you guys! I'm going to give it another week, keep an eye on the trichs, continue with the nutes till then. I am so far more than thrilled with the results from this one plant! Will report back!

Well, harvested my one plant on the 16th of may, pic 1, dried for a week pic 2, and after all is said and done she yielded 4oz even bud and 1oz of trim which I also dried and made butter out of. Curing nicely in glass! And from what I samples this weekend I can't believe it's going to get even better over the next few weeks! Thanks everyone for the help!!image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
