cleaning

hey guys, i dont know if this is the right place to ask this question but here goes. i have been cleaning my phx with isopropyl and salt for about 2 years now. and about a year a chalky white film has appeared on the parts that dont get wet. is there any reason for this? how do i clean that off? any info would be much appreciated

sounds like salt build up from hard water, i hate this on my bongs! easy fix though, after you clean give everything a rinse with bottled water and fill your bong with bottled water instead of hard sink water. Hope this helps

ps: i suppose a more long term fix would be to install a water softener so your sink water doesn't contain those salts, but thats a bit outa my expertise
