Cleaning hydroton - any other ways!!?

if you got a garden tap, put all your clay balls in to the pots you want then in, then put the pot underneath the garden tap outside, when clear water is coming out is nearly clean, let it run for a bit longer, because even when you think its clean its not.

i'm not a fan of hydroton any more, used it for ages, found i was picking it out my ass still 2 years after stopping using it

I use 5 gallon buckets and put the hydrotons in them with the hottest tap water i can from the tub. Then i add some some bleach and let them sit until the water cools. Then i use a net pot for a 5 gallon bucket for a strainer and rinse them under the faucet in the tub.
