I have a plant in a 5 gallon tote. It is in its 3rd week of flower on a 45 day strain. It’s getting hard to move the plant out of the tote to dump and clean. I use orca bennies. Would it be ok to just siphon pump the nute water out when I change it every 5 days or so and not clean it. Any opinions?

I think it's safe if your res temp is near 18 celsius.

I use my shop vac just watch your roots. I personally quit changing my res so much also. If the plants drinking and your pH and ppm are staying in the zone and the plant is healthy and growing well I would consider every two weeks

I typically dump my system every 14 days. I can only easily pump out approx. 2/3 of the total volume so it's never a complete pump and dump. I've always run bennies and never sterilize during runs.

I dont do any of this.
If you guys are having to clean during flower, you need a better nutrient imo.
I do no system cleaning during the cycle. They go into afresh clean system a week before they get flipped to flower and I do 90-95% water changes for the whole flower.

Appreciate all the advice. This is going to make things alot easier on me. Pumping the water out will be what I try here in a couple days.

I dont change my rez at all unless absolutely necessary. I add a product called Plantacilin from Future Harvest Development and that really helps to keep the gunk out.
Dont overdo the nutes and you should be fine. Get a quality trimeter that you can keep in the rez to monitor whats going on. Hanna makes some good ones.
