clay pebbles questions

i went from starter rockwool cubes into 3/4gallon pots with several holes lined with bulap filled with clay pebbles in a flood and drain table. my drain goes on for 15 mins every 1 hour during the day and 15 mins for every 1 1/2 hour at night. i put the cuttings into the homemade airpruners last night. My questions were regarding what the proper drain/fill level might be, how often i should flood, and any other useful stuff. I use dyna-gro and a lil cal-mag, and have the bluelab ph/ec tester pens. everythings looking good in there so far i just want any good ideas on how to tweak it. my grow almost looks like this except maybe smaller buckets https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/517240-4x4-ebb-n-flow-white.html the plants are blackberrry haze under a 4 foot 400w hps light mover with 1 double 4 foot t5's on either side, all together 4, 4 foot bulbs. tyvm!
edit: theyre in veg under these lights until rooted enough for flower; how long might this take ?

in straight pebbles??? it seems like they dry out really fast and the roots are still in the small 1" rockwools, I can still take them out and the roots are only poking out 1/2". Should i slowly decrease the flood times? how long do clay pebbles keep their moisture? I was told u want to slowly decrease flood times. I would love to do that cause the pump uses a lot of power and stuff

i do a 15min flood every 4hrs in pebbles with 1"rw cubes only a 1/4 " of the rw is below the flood line, no feeds during the dark cycle in veg and one feed during the darck cycle in bloom.

dude thank you so much, thats exactly what i like to know; anyone else? nute regime?

roots do most of there stretching during the dry period, its searching for water. If theres too much water the roots wont grow rapidly and will most likely rot away.
