Classic Seeds Grow Journal

Hey HB, I have taken the time to read through all of your journals the past few days. And you convinced me to switch from House and Garden to Dyna Grow. I've only been using these nutes for 2 weeks and already notice a difference. Thanks for all the great info. I was trying to PM you about your findings on the great white experiment but I cannot figure out how to PM on this site.
I've used Aqua Flakes before, it did really well in hydro but I do like how versatile DG is and how easy it is to use.

Plant 3 looks like she is covered in snowflakes! Awesome job like always. Peace.
Classic's diesels are damn good as a guy over at TSD just finished up a strawberry diesel x c99 grow and his plants look great. I have a few more beans to pop first but I'll be back with another Classic seeds run and the hardest part will be picking which ones to grow.

Hi HB,
your shoots look mouth swelling amazing.
I heard you did quite some runs on Serious Seeds Kali Mist. I am thinking to do it on my next grow and I was wondering maybe you documented somewhere some pictures or some information specific to that strain? Would really love to check them out.
Thanks

I've never documented a kali mist grow but I do still love that strain. You can expect an 80-110 day flowering period, I'd recommend flowering her at about 1 foot tall and if you let her get taller, don't be afraid to tie her down. Often times mine get 18" tall before I take clones and she'll end up 6 foot tall after 30 days of flower. She's a leggy broad but by no means unmanageable and I have yet to find better smoke for my personal stash.

thank you bro! great info, do you have any photo of kali mist bud so i could see the structure i should head for? also can you tell if she has some special likes regarding feeding?
good to know that she's trainable, since im pretty limited on vertical space. thinking to start flowering almost from sprout, top for 4 colas and creep around the cage, like i did with zamaldelica, which still took 124days to finish

I had pics but I deleted them. Give her some grow formula from start to finish and she'll be good.

Hey HB, I have a whole gallon of Dg Grow was about to pick up Dg bloom. I was wondering what ratio withg Grow and proteckt be enough for flowering 4:1?

That 'ratio' I use is to put the pH in the low 6's. You'll have to experiment to see what works with your water. If you're in promix, I'd skip the bloom.

I should also add that 4:1 is what I use for FP:Protekt. It's not because of any mineral content of the bottles, just the pH. And some say pH-ing in dirt is unnecessary.

I'm running sunshine close to promix and I'm looking to switch to FP from DG grow. Would 2.5mlf per gallon and 1ml/gal Protekt be suffice for veg?

Both Grow and Foliage Pro will work great. As far as the dosage, I feed per ppm/EC so if 2.5mls/gal puts you in a ppm/EC range that you're comfortable with, have at it.

I thought I had read you used FP/Protekt at an equal ratio?

I've never used equal amounts of protekt and a base nutrient. These days I only use a few drops per gallon as I feel that a greater dosage causes protekt to build up in plants and can cause brittle, leathery leaves during flower.

HB, know this is from a 4 year old post but I too am a fan of legacy seeds especially of sativa's. Is the grower mentioned in the first post still breeding, and are his seeds availible anywhere? Thanks for your time, big fan of your threads and a fellow Dyna user from way back.
Best regards,
Jax

I do believe Classic is still making seeds. If you're interested, I'll check to see where they can be found. I think FireStax still has some but I can check to see where the most reputable place is if you want.

I'd love to hear where they're still up and where it's reputable. They have some great old lines I'd love to try.

That would be awesome, thanks HB!
