Chunk of dark brown in roots. Root rot ?

Could be accumulated nutes. Is it slimy?
It’s pretty stuck together like gum almost. I didn’t touch it with my fingers but I tried to break it up with a chopstick but it doesn’t budge. I’d say chances of anything having gotten in there are very very low though.
its also an “air root” if that could change anything. It’s in the 1” zone under net pot

I'm not sure what I'd do..... keep an eye on it, or cut it out now.
Does it go up into the pot? Does part of a branch look weak?
Good luck

The plant is pretty normal looking I just did an lst so she’s a bit bent but here’s a picture. I was thinking of cutting it out since it’s only the one spot. It’s really only there an inch of the root not in the net pot and not lower down.. it’s also my main tap root which worries me for cutting it out

It's pretty darn weird but I would leave it. If it was mold it would be slimy. You said it's hard and gummy so.......as long as it ain't mold the roots should deal with it or grow around it. I always hate to mess with roots and other people are root pruners. I don't know who is right.

That might be a problem, yes.
Sounds like an idea to me.
Hey so I’ve given 3 doses so far. New growth looks nice and that black spot went away instantly. Also a bunch of nasty stuff from the water level hose in my reservoir came out. The roots look ok to me. My nutes are very brown. What do you think ? I also just wrapped the top in foil to try to reduce water temps a little. But they aren’t awful. Usually around 70-75

Update. It’s back I really can’t figure this stuff out. The plant doesn’t seem effected by it. It’s chunky like earth not slimy and has zero smell. Water temps are always in the 60’s I’m just kinda stumped on this. Could it possibly be nothing bad at all ?

Curious, do you start your plants in coco or rapid rooters? when i use coco then xfer to DWC i end up with black bits in my roots from the coco working it's way down... never hurt anything though.

Hahaha it looks like what I take out of the dryer. So should I constantly run a peroxide treatment twice a week or can I just ignore it and keep running my beneficial root stimulator ?
honestly can't see it.. when you click it it's like 1/4" I have used bleach and peroxide but usually only for about 12 hours.. not constant, i'm sure someone will chime in with more experience..

Its something in your nutes,What exactly are u feeding her?
I’ve put all my nutes in a jar and waited to see if anything similar forms and nothing .. they are brown but no organic materials ever formed, I’m running optimum hydroponic nutes a+b. With calmag and mystik root stimulator and fulvex also by optimum.
