Chris' 2nd White Widow and Mystery Seed CFL Grow

Thanks SICC. yeaa, the White Widow is doing really really well! Im surprised at how fast she's growing! I have her in that 5 gallon bucket.. soo I'm sure she's loving all the room she has to grow! The pistils are coming out everywhere and so fast! hard to believe its only be like 16 days since I switched the lights over!

The Mystery seed is still looking just "OK"... hoping that more white hairs start showing up soon.

I am getting a few (Pure) Purple Power seeds soon.. =D and am gonna start them probably as soon as I get them.. for my next grow. And I am actually almost hoping I get 1 male.. because I am thinking about harvesting the pollen.. and putins some on the lower buds of the WW plant.. and making some Pure Purple Widow or w.e. u wanna call it.

Sounds like it would be good to me. =)

nice healthy looking plants im going to take a seat on this one. and also hope you dont mind me asking how do you pollinate a plant? im getting some of Nirvanas ICE they just shipped out to me today and im hoping for a male so i can pollinate one of my females to keep the seeds comming in. sub'd btw

thanks. glad to have ya along. and no i dont mind u asking at all. lol.

well i ahd just asked one of my friends exactly how to do it.. and sooo from what i understand... you still wanna keep the male plant away from ur female plants... soo if u have like.. a cardboard box or sumthin.. you can put a couple lights in there and put him in there.

once the pollen sacs start to show... and look like theyre just about to open.. or already are open... your gonna wanna cut them off.. and stick them in like... a pill bottle of sumthing like that.

you have to let the pollen dry out a bit. just like u would do with the buds. and then get urself a small paintbrush (im gonna use a q-tip if i cant find a small paintbrush) and dip the paintbrush into the pollen and then go over to your female plant(s) and paint on some of the pollen on some of the lower buds.

you wanna make sure you do it early enough.. soo that the seeds have enough time to mature.. like you couldnt add th epollen to the buds after like 7 weeks of flowering.. there wont be enough time for the seeds to fully develop. ill try to find out what week into flowering is best to pollinate.. and as soon as i find out i'll let you know. =)

if u have any more questions.. ask away. =) i'll do my best to answer them.

Thanks that helped a bunch would putting the male outside work? or would it just reveg if i put it our this time in the year? really looking forward to this ICE grow want it to be perfect so im trying to learn up as much as i can. my second cfl grow is two weeks from harvest https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/319151-small-closet-grow-two-plants.html

no problem. and honestly... idk. im not sure what time of the year plants flower/veg. I needa figure that out. cuz I was thinkin about trying an outdoor grow. u mihgt just wanna use a cardboard box.

and trust me... you should be very very very happy with your strain. from what I've heard.. Ice is one of nirvana's best strains. =)

yeah thats why i picked it after researching almost every strain they have i decided to go with the Ice mainly because of the good reviews it got by the growers and it stays short with solid trich covered nuggies. i will be growing them under a 250 watt hps and one more question if you dont mind(sry not trying to take the thread off topic) how many plants is the right ammount of plants for a 250 watt? ty again

yeaaa,I would like to eventually try sum Ice myslef.. it does sound really really good! im sure you will be very impresed with it!!

Hmmm.. honestly.. i feel like you will got diff answers to that question depending on who u ask... =/ but what i think it is.. is basically.. if u grow like 7 underneath that.. they wont get big and wont grow to their full potential... but if you stick with like 4 plants.. i think you will get some amazing results. ive only done a few grows.. sooo imnot "expert" but i have done alotta research as well.. and in my opinion... i think 4 would be perfect.

but just to be sure.. you may wanna check around.

Allllrighty. Its Friday... time for pics!!!! takin the ladies out now to take sum pics!! =) i'll post them as soon as im done! soooo stick around!

ok. gettin ready to post some pics. as usual.. the White Widow is doing AMAZING!! she's full of white hairs already.. you can see the bud starting to form in the very middle.. myt FIM job turned out very good. I had to use a twisty tie tho and tie them closer together cuz the were growing so far apart.. and i need to keep both the tops under the same light. =)

as for the Mystery Plant..... actually.... shes doing good! can ya believe it!! i might finally be able to grow her! lol. and have her finish!! dont wanna jinx myself.. but she pushed out a few white hairs now.. and is looking pretty healthy now that I cut all of those lower/dying branches off. =) sooooo thats gooood. =) see how shes doing in another week.. adn if she continues on this path.. then i'll keep her. =) she's deff a sativa tho.. sooo i have a feeling shes gonna take a bit longer to finish than the white widow... but i'll figure sumthin out. =)

nice! she looks as big as the last one did when you were done with flowering, im curious to see what you get this time. and the mystery pulled out of her sickness i see, she actually looks like a healthy plant. Its hard to tell with the stativa dominant strians i hear they just dont stay bushy at all. looking good though cant wait to see that monster widow fill up with its glorious white frasty buds. ill also be doing some pic updates tonight as well if i dont get drunk to quick lol. Mine is folowing the same trend as your did as far as smell goes, went i walk into the room it smells like a plant kinda but not so much, then once you get close to here you can smell the neem oil and then the fruity pebels come lol. So that MG moisture control must not be that bad lol yours look like the are enjoying it very well, my dad has 3 little ones in it but they arnt like it as well as yours. he switched to 12/12 and they freaked out and look like they are dying. but oh well, keep it growin man!

yeaaa, im deff impressed with this WW. she's gonna be HUGE! i almsot scared to see how big she's gonna get. hahaha.

and yea im very happy that the mystery strain looks normal now. lol. i think i made a good decision trimming off those nasty branches. =) it made a big difference.

and ok cool. i will check on ur thread for pics.. as long as I dont get too drunk either. lol. adn thats good about the smell.. after u cure it for a little bit the smell will come.. its deff got a very strange smell.. but its good. =)

and yeaa honestly.. this MG Moisture Control shit is working BOMB!! sometimes... i wonder if the soil is whats making my plant grow so fast and big.. cuz wen u look on the back of the bag.. (i know its probly not a real comparison) they show a pic of a plant grown in reg. potting soil... adn then they show another plant... thats twice as big.. adn say its the same plant grow with Miracle Grow.. adn they always say it makes plants twice as big.. and so far.. I cant complain.. and cant deny that my plants arent pretty fucking big. lol

** Just so ya know.. those jumbo toothpick things im holding up are 12 inches long.. and I'm holding 2 together.. tryna show how tall the plants are. tehy are both a little over 2ft tall. and the White Widow is also 2ft wide!!

Thats all the pics I got for now. Ill have sum more up on Tuesday! Cant wait for the buds to look like real buds!! Thats when the pictures look great! and I'll have a bunch of pics once that time comes.!!
