chop too late?

did i chop these white widow too late?

i'm sorry to say but that doesn't look like white widow. it looks more like cali orange. how long did you flower her?

for 100% brown/orange hairs it takes about 9 weeks from the switch to 12/12

i wouldnt say it smells like citrus
the good thing about it is that it resists mold ......is low smell (till u chop it..even in flowering its low smell)
it has a cherry aftertaste when smoked and when vaporized (although less when vaped at a higher temp)

It depends on the trichomes, not the pistils to tell when it is finished. But that nug looks fine ...

pistols show signs also buddy,if you know the female plant reproductive system the you would know that you can tell a mature bud by looking at just the pistols,while its not the most accurate as checking the trichomes its can be done and has been for thousands of years,all this shit about pistols meaning nothing is all a load of shit,If the pistols are standing up and are still very alive then the plant is still growing and its not mature enough to be picked,if 80-90% of the pistols are dead,the calyxas are swollen and theres only little bit of fresh hairs left then thats when bud are normally around peak potency which is when you want to chop em,harvesting early because you want a head high is dumb and it will only hinder your results,If you want a head high go for SATIVA strain or harvest your indacas when they are milky with decent amounts of amber but not with clear trichomes and fresh growth on the plant.

honestly i let mine go till 80-90% so i get maximum yield, and i prefer weed that knocks me out, not a wussy buzz

during the initial (pistols standing) flowering, like in the first couple of weeks....would it be beneficial to prune big guard leaves?

I was thinking maybe it would channel that energy to the bud formation???

any help will do!!!!

never trim any leaves that are in good shape
the general rule is 50% of the leaf is good.........keep it where it is

If the plant dont need it it will drop it.
