Chop or not to chop?

sorry for the 2nd post but i need more feedback. I have a plant that was taken inside 2 days ago in fear of frost. It was outside and is in late flower. The top buds of the plant look ready but theres much growth to be had in the middle and below. My question is should I put it back outside and chop 'em the morning of a frost or would they survive it enough to go a few days?

I've kept plants growing outside through january by doing this

cool thanks guys. my tops are just about ready so i'll cut them and put the plant back out there so the lower ones can ripen up.

and the grow continues.......
