Chop or not to chop?

I have a plant that was taken inside 2 days ago in fear of frost. It was outside and is in late flower. The top buds of the plant look ready but theres much growth to be had in the middle and below. My question is should I put it back outside and chop 'em the morning of a frost or would they survive it enough to go a few days?

I still have a plant in my yard, it's been below freezing at least twice and she's still living.

you can cut the tops if you think they will grow back in. no you shouldnt kill her as long as you dont cut more than half off. if you cut like the top 3/4's of it you should be finne
