Choosing a grow kit

Going to try growing bud, total newb here. I've been looking at grow kits and was wondering if the more expensive kits are worth the extra money. I really like the AC Infinity, but will the $160 give me the same end results as the $700 infinity?
Any recommendations on other kits? A few other kits I've looked at, Spider Farms, Mars Hydro, Vivosun.

Can you grow perfectly fine weed in any of those? yes.

Is the AC infinity a better quality setup than the $170 kit? yes. The nice thing about the ac infinity kit is the controller. It works well to keep your temps/humidity in place. Their tents are also the highest quality of the ones mentioned imo.

Are those other kits any good? yes. They're all decent. If you're price conscientious, go with the kit with the best light included for the money.

Those pre-assembled kits tend to be seriously overpriced. Plenty of people here would probably be happy to help you plot out a list of everything you'd possibly need, probably with better components - likely for well under $700.

The cheper kit of the two you picked looks like it uses a compact florescent bulb. Its not going to give no were near the same light power as the led light board in the expensive one. And the futher away from the bulb the even lower the light. But im sure for about half the price of the expensive one you could get a similar powered led light, a similar size tent and a powerful enough carbon filter and extractir kit. That should produce the same result as that more expensive kit youve pictured.

You could do it cheaper than those kits but the AC stuff is very nice. If you have the $ go with AC infinity.

If you lazy and don't want to shop around and do the research into the lights and the best deal than just roll with the Ac Infinity. There is nothing really wrong with it and it's got everything you need. I wouldn't even consider the cheaper option it's just going to cost you more in the long run and the light won't do what you need.

Out of all the cheap tents Ive tried , all of them had light leaks. I currently have a 4x4 ac infinity , and the quality is far better. Heavier duty zippers , thicker material , the support bars hold more weight. You get what you pay for I guess.

Yes, the AC Infinity controller is what's drawing me to that one.

Just a quick glance and off the top of my head here is where I think you could save some money on the kit and put towards a more expensive led.

Keep the same tent, go from a 6" acinfinity carbon filter and fan to a 4" in that size tent.
Dump the AC oscillating fan that is way over priced and by another cheaper one that is just going to break just as fast as the expensive ac one. The ac controller is nice to have but not sure I would put my initial set up dollars into that.

Thanks, I'll probably go with the AC Infinity, don't hear any complaints about them.
Just have to decide now in the 4x2 or 3x3.

I'll pick out a better kit for less, just pay me the difference from the aci kit.

I was going to recommend looking at the 2x4 over the 3x3. I’ve owned both, and I find the space more manageable in the 2x4 because you’re not reaching over plants. I’m a big AC Infinity fan, but there’s also a spider farmer tent that is worth considering because it’s 55 x 28 x 80…..slightly larger than a 2x4 which would be nice if you want to grow 4 plants. But if you want to play it safe, AC Infinity is nice quality.

Cannabis growing supplies is like the only industry I know of, where buying a bundled package of gear actually costs more.

It's best to piece all your parts out individually

Knowing what I know now. I would go for the ac Infinity 2X4 kit. You need 2 fans and the ac infinity are very quite. No carbon filter in the cheaper one. You might get a grow in with one plant in the cheap one (only 1 pot). Several U tubers have discount codes for ac infinity 10%. Dudegrows or dudegrows10 on amazon.

I wouldn't advise balling out on AC Infinity gear right out of the gate. . .. what if you decide growing isn't for you?? Then you're ass-out all that money, even if you sell the gear you won't recoup it all. Consider no-name tent, iPower inline fan, no-name pots, etc. .. one area you shouldn't skimp on is the lighting if you can help it. Half your overall budget should be lighting alone

Case in point: i bought a no-name 4x4 tent 3 and a half yrs ago, still going strong, i paid like 80 bucks for it. I do plan to upgrade, but like I was saying, what if after a grow or two I decided it's not for me? --then I wouldn't lose out as much. I also paid like $49 for my iPower inline fan which is also still kickin ass.
