  • Hello to all that drop in and visit my first grow journal. I will be growing 2 Karrgullen cross's(named by me).

    Here is the set up - Built-in room insulated on all side. 2.2m long x 1.2m wide x 2.2m high
    2x400HPS, 2x130watt CFL's(14000 kelvin) and a 10.0 UVB 90 cm linear CFL for flowering
    200mm exhaust fan
    small computer fan for air intake
    small computer fan for air movement
    Coco Run-To-Waste system
    50 lt pots with drainage grate in bottom of pot for extra drainage, so around 45 lt of coco
    House@Garden nutrient range minus their Shooting Powder - Cocos base A+B
    Multi zyme
    Alegen extract
    Root Excelurator
    Bud-XL
    Top Boost
    Silica product
    Final Flush-Blueberry

    I will also do a mini journal of a strain Called The Ultimate. Given to me from a mate who said his place was to cold for it. It was really yellow when i took over it. The Ultimate is in a 1.2m x 1.2m tent under a 600HPS in a 30lt pot. The same mate also gave me a Moby Dick and a Exodus Cheese seedling. They have got their colour back since i have been looking after them.


    The karrgullen Cross. This is day 14 of grow.


    The Ultimate. Not sure how old it is, when i got it was about 40cm tall. I have LST'ed it. Been in the tent for 7 days.


    My Dick, Cheese seedling. They have come back well. Both were very small, very yellow and had the skinniest stems i had seen. Their under a 130 watt CFL(6400Kelvin)

Lookin good bro, subbed up for the ride :)

The ultimate looks like a nice strain, is it sativa dominant? Looks almost like it has Thai genetics, which is always good :D

Can I ask where the name for the other babies came from?

Sweet Mo, thanks for stopping by. The ultimate, Mob dick and Exodus Cheese where all brought of Plant Skunk. They have write up on each on their website. Meant to be feminised, but I have my doubts about seeds that have been altered by humans. So i willl see how they go.

The two Karrgullen's should do good, i have had pretty good results from them on previous grows. The Ultimate, i dont know what to expect. There write up about does sound ok though, could be interesting!

Two spare cuttings that i threw outside 4-5 weeks ago. Not enough light hours, the little lades have started to flower. It is also freezing cold outside. They should revert back to veg, spring is near! Left hand pic is a White Rhino, right pic is a Karrgullen Cross.

Hi there all , just a quick update and a few pics of the Karragullen day 16 of grow. LST'ed and thinned out both of them. Both have a nice colour to them, so all is good!

Well i have hardly kept my journal up to date, but I have hardly had enough time to check on my girls in the past few weeks. I have flipped both rooms to 12/12, and they are at day 6 of flower now. I didn't even get the screen in, just a bit of thinning and LST. All is going well considering.

The Ultimate, Veg for 26 days. Day 6 of flower. It is looking good, for a strain i have not grown before. It does have a odd smell already,a bit like cat piss!

Hey thanks Mo. It is amazing what a little bit of neglect can do. I have only been going in and checking them when i have done there waters. It spins me out still, how quick they grow. If i dont water log them like my last lot, all should be good.

Hahaha maybe I should try that too lol. Mine are a bit water logged I think so have turned off the watering for a few days to let them dry out a bit!

Got 2 NL5x blueberry bro. In a DWC and had the pump watering for 1min every day and they just won't grow. I'm getting very close to just throwing the whole fuckin tent and everything away in frustration. I've been growing off and on for over 15 yers and this is the first time I've had all the issues I've had. Dunno whether the beans I got are shit quality or what, the ones I've got in now are e only ones that have sprouted and look like growing. Fuck even the bag seed I popped are going 10 times better than the supposed top line genetics I bought! Not happy hey :(

Full bonsai man, that's heaps cool :)

They'll be good smoke though man, I'd prefer quality over quantity any day...unless I was Flowa of course and he gets both lol

G'day Mo, I hope you have your watering problems under control mate. I have never tried DWC method of growing so i have pretty much no advise for ya. I have only being growing for the past couple of years, i have had a couple of bumper crops in that time. I have also had grows two complete disaster grows, one in which i pulled out and through in the fire. Just couldn't get the spider mite under control. Who did you get your seeds through? I tried getting some seeds through Herbies Head Shop, but they did not arrive. They got to West Aust mail centre and never made any further. Got sent a second batch for free and the same thing happened. Thanks for trying Herbie!

Some shots of Day 9 or 10 of flower. They have changed a fair bit in 4 days. I didn't give this lot there 36 hours of darkness, just flicked them to 12/12.

Thanks bro, i think i may be getting ahead finally :) have had to change to water every 3-4 days now! Will let you know in a week if they're any better lol. Little tip- never go for the watering ring, they over water waaaaaay to much!!
I ended up getting the seeds from high grade and the genetics are pretty good of the blueberry NL, its the ones i got
from demon seeds that dont seem to want to play, ive gone through 6 seeds so far, they sprout and then do nothing! Could be thenover watering though so we'll see next time!

Your girls are looking sweet too man!! Keep up the good work :-) glad to see someone having better luck than me lol

Hello people of RIU, An update and some pics. I purchased a 36 inch 30watt 10.0 UVB desert light and decided to put it in with the Ultimate, as there is a bit more room in there. The girls are at day 15 of flower and coming along nicely. The karragullen is developing faster than The Ultimate however.
