It didn't work for me, but you might have more luck.
The heat is in the ballast so I tried a fan directly above the vents in it, blowing down. It dropped temps 1 or 2F but I got a hotspot all the way down the case as that was just as bad as the top of the case.
It looks like you have a fan vent at the top rear you could open up. I think you should bring that into play.

Well that took a lot longer than expected, but I finally got 10 "el nino" feminized seeds and have just started germination. Now the fun begins!!

hey skagnetti your grow looks like its gonna be awesome man. Im currently constructing my pc grow case. Can you detail with photos if possible how you wired the fans you will be using? I know people wire them to standard cell phone chargers but would like to see exactly how its done so I don't have any fire problems down the road. Thanks and keep the pics coming!
