i chill with peeps like that all the time. i still smoke when needed for pain and/or recreation and they know it. i don't do it in their house or in their face. i politely excuse myself to go outside for a "smoke". Quite often, someone who i thought would NEVER smoke out comes with and gets offered. Sometimes they accept, sometimes not. Only offered once unless requested.

Most of my sober friends went through hell before finding sobriety and when we do go to concerts or events I'll splurge for their ticket if they drive.

Heck, i smoke in front of or near fundamentalist Christians lol. If i walk away and announce what i'm doing and someone follows, that's their choice. If they want to chastise or rebuke me, i got a few things to point out to them

I used to, but now I don't smoke around nonsmoking friends. I never thought it made me look bad to them but people treated me different when they saw me smoking vs when i don't even mention it to them.
It's sad that I only know closeminded squares. I'm sure their are cool straight edge people who don't treat stoners different from other people. I have a dream lol

kinda hard when chillin for me is being active, come home from work and dive head head first into history, gardening, tree hunting and identifying. and all the things that come with it. it helps to know if im having fun and hungry i just got a to extend my arm and I'm chowing down. next the chronological stage of plants from seed to harvest lined up next to each other so you can see the growth rates.

A lot of times, the sober ones can be more fun than the drunk or high ones. I am very selective about who I party with, as I don't like those who don't know their limit and either pass out or get stoooooopid.

can't say that I have any sober freinds if I did I damn sure wouldn't hesatate to blaze some weed in front of them and try getting them to toke up. I don't know about sober people though I just don't trust them.
