it most certainly a pleasure to be able to join this "land" of knowledge. so got my grow room built and concealed. with this economy and the comp. i work for struggling i would of been able to afford everything, but i'm piecing things as i can afford them. (what good is a grow room when you've been evicted right!
so i germinated one feminized chiesel seed from dutch passion and one feminized white widow seed from seedsman.
used the soaking germination method the chiesel cracked after 2 days and the widow after three. i used filtered rain water for this.
then transplanted each into a rockwool cube. i have a drip irrigation setup for my veggie room. getting all of the parts (i.e. retrofit drip head/emitters, resevoir, hoses) connected while im waiting for these baby's to rise!
i was given this crazy light box from a friend a few years back. he used it to burn screens for screenprinting but it was smaller than the average screen. i looked this guy up on the net recently and found out is is sold for light therapuetic reasons. i figured that my plants could use a little light therapy themselves. it is retailed priced at 400 bones(had no idea!) . the luminensce is calculated from distance away starting at 18.5" giving 10,000 lumens, 5,000 at 23", and 2,500 at 42". i think it will work cause there is 2 bent flourescent tubes and i can see a warm tint and a cool tint to the bulbs.
right now i have the box suspened on chains about 4 inches from the top of my cubes. so we'll see if this beautiful treasure comes in handy.
to be continued......
